Volunteer Opportunities

Paramahansa Yogananda said that life should be chiefly service. Periodically  members of the Temple community meet in the social room to discuss temple activities (check here or the Calendar for the date of the next meeting). Serving at the temple is a great way to meet other members and help further Paramahansa Yogananda's work.

Areas of service include

  • flower arranging,

  • gardening,

  • cleaning,

  • serving in the Bookroom,

  • teaching Sunday School,

  • helping with special events,

  • ushering.

One Saturday each month devotees can participate in a day of service, which provides a wonderful opportunity to serve God and Guru and to share in fellowship with other devotees and the ministers. A PDF file (Portable Document Format) of the "Service Days" flyer is available here for printing. The file is large, so if you access the web with dial-up, please be prepared to wait. Viewing and printing a PDF file requires Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® to be installed on your computer. If you don't already have it, you can download it free from Adobe®.

Volunteer forms are available on the free literature table in the foyer or, better yet, you can submit a form on line. Note: Devotees may participate in days of service without having submitted a Volunteer Form.
